Mark, our discussion today is of great interest to me, both from the standpoint of working at NEMD, where we regularly have the incredible fortune of convening both directors, but also members of their senior leadership team, of which we have two amazing examples today, really trying to pull those threads together of the policy, the operations, the financial and the communicator type folk in state Medicaid leadership.

I'm also personally excited about this topic because I feel like this was a perennial area of struggle for me as a former Medicaid director.

I mean, this seems to be when we think about all the significant things that Medicaid programs do, some of the hardest are the ones that don't fit neatly into one portion of an organization or another.

But when we aren't successful frequently, it's not because anybody did something necessarily wrong in their part of the world, but we didn't get those pieces working together.

When I get the chance to be able to work with teams around the country, this is such an important topic that comes up over and over again.

And what a pleasure it is for us to have two wonderful people to engage in the conversation with.
