Technology at the point that you and I serve was a little more nascent in its use in the Medicaid program.

But I remember when I first started, I asked my then systems person for some kind of graphical overview of all that made Medicaid work from an engineering standpoint.

And about a week later, I got an enormous like three by three foot piece of paper that had an intense diagram that I barely understood.

As you know, I came from the legislature into being Medicaid director, and I had remembered conversations about financing technology products from that point of view.

And I think many of us who come into being Medicaid directors aren't coming from a technology background.

And having to figure out how to navigate that is a real challenge when that's not your technical background.

You know, there's an unfolding policy agenda and a lot of important changes that are occurring in Medicaid.

It's a lot of congressional scrutiny of the program and just a pretty vast array of vendors and other stakeholders who have interest in the program participating.
