Meredith MannGuestAndrea AllenHostI wanna get into what your structure is, but I wanna add, we were talking before we even started and we said, uh, especially in midlife, obviously you can become any of these things at any age.
But in midlife, we both know, you and I both know, that insulin sensitivity is very common when your hormones are changing with perimenopause.
Insulin sensitivity is like you're not as sensitive to the insulin, and that's kinda like the step before insulin resistance.
So if you are someone who you're like, "I felt fine my 20s and 30s and now all of a sudden I'm hitting my 40s and I'm like a complete, you know, wreck, or I'm not feeling some of these things or I'm struggling with this," what you're explaining is actually really important because they could be becoming insulin resistant and not necessarily realizing it.
And whether you are or aren't, like you're gonna explain, I'm gonna ask you a lot of questions, but like having enough protein, the fiber, the structure, all of those things are going to prevent you from either, number one, getting there, or once you're there, keep you in a good spot.
So this really is for everybody because while I'm not insulin resistant right now, I also wanna stay in a good spot, and knowing I'm at an age where my hormones are gonna continue to shift, my progesterone's gonna change, my estrogen is gonna change.
I want to set myself up to stay in a good spot so that, A, you can control it if you do have it, or B, you're able to stay out of it.
