Maybe now we just have so many opportunities to distract ourselves that we don't have to be with ourselves.

But that is a large part of the work is how do we just take a breath and be in our own bodies?

Welcome to Love, Laughs, and Lessons, the podcast where we create a safe and inclusive space to have open and honest conversations about all things relationships, from romance to family dynamics to friendships, and most importantly, the relationships we have with ourselves.

I'm Dr. Frankie, a clinical psychologist, board-certified sex therapist, and expert in human behavior.

And I'm Denise Ray, certified matchmaker, science-based dating and relationship coach, and intimacy and relationship coach with over a decade of experience.

And today, our guest, Mike Stroh, is a registered psychotherapist, ADHD-certified clinical service

With a master's in counseling psychotherapy, he specializes in anxiety, which I'm experiencing right now, ADHD addiction, and helping people find genuine purpose.

And he came to this work the hard way, through his own personal recovery from all three.

Since then, Mike has taken that lived experience and built something remarkable with it.

He's reached over 100,000 people through mental health talks and workshops, worked with some of Canada's largest school boards and the biggest brands, and has been featured multiple times on national news, speaking about mental health and addiction.

He uses an approach called Feedback-Informed Treatment, an industry gold standard with one specific goal, to make sure you need less of it over time, not more.

It is an honor and it is always, I don't know, an experience to hear other people describe your life kind of through those formal introductions.
