First off, an update on what's going on in the latest of the Jonathan Cooper scenario.

We now have a trial date that we know where Cooper's going to attend, and then we'll have a ruling potentially from the NFL after that.

And then later, I'll tell you by the Broncos spent a good portion of their Monday morning trying to assemble their practice squad with a couple of key guys.

While the Broncos were holding practice in Dove Valley on Monday, Jonathan Cooper was in Douglas County Courthouse.

court where he had his arraignment hearing stemming from the two off-season arrests that ultimately resulted in domestic violence charges.

And now an official court date has been set for Cooper on November 10th, the 12th, and the 13th, where he will go on trial.

He's on the commissioner's exempt list all the way up until that point, right? And during that time, when he has his trial, the Broncos will be on their bye week.

The NFL, depending on what comes out of that specific trial for Cooper specifically, and they'll have all the information, they will either... suspend him for a period of games depending on the outcome of it, or they might not suspend him at all.

We don't know what the course of action is going to be by the league, but that's what the Denver Broncos are waiting for.

They could have easily made a decision this offseason to move on from Cooper, but they were going to let the legal process play out in situations like this specifically that have the delicate nature that they certainly do.

We can get into the moral side of things, but it's not my opinion to jump on here and share my own personal perspective on Cooper and his situation.
