It's so funny because when you talk about the nineties and all of us and our snack Wells cookies and everything, you can have this, it's less than a hundred calories.

Now we look back and recognize that it's really not just about calories in calories out.

And there are studies that are starting to show that when you eat your calories, you is very impactful on how your body processes those calories and how as women we're gaining and losing weight.

I love that you're recognizing, and you're recognizing, if you're 40, you're recognizing, I think very early, that it isn't just about doing everything perfectly.

It's about identifying, okay, something that I did last year that was working, all of a sudden isn't working for me anymore.

So how do I go about making a shift where that feels more natural and just holistic for me.

One of the things that when you gave me your information about the podcast, I laughed out loud, was you were talking about decluttering.

And we have this conversation in my household all the time because once we're now in our 40s and 50s, things start to just hit a little differently.

bless my husband's heart he'll go and he'll set something somewhere but it doesn't go there and it's really stressing me out so tell me about your experience there because I will tell you that my clients say this all the time and I think that when they first confess it to me they think that it's unique to them and that there's something wrong with them.

And all of a sudden they've got some type of neuroses or psychoses, but it's so normal.

a pair of menopause and it's just, what is this? It's crawling all over my skin, but it's been here for 10 years.

So another part of my journey I didn't mention is a couple of years ago, I got diagnosed with ADHD and It changed my life.

I had a podcast at the time called the Mother Plus Podcast that was about motherhood and the ambivalence of motherhood, of loving your child, but not liking the motherhood part so much and struggling so much with it.

And what me and my co-host discovered is that we had ADHD and that's why we struggled so much with motherhood because it requires a lot of structure and organization and systems and we just failed in all of those areas, right? And so we really went down this rabbit hole of having therapists and psychologists on the podcast to talk about our brains and how they work differently.
