A new assignment doesn’t always mean a new **calling**. Sometimes it means serving the same mission in a different way. Dr. Brett Cooper joins Dr. Stan Norman, president of Williams Baptist…
One of the reasons I wanted to get you on here is because I'm really, really, really excited about the new assignment and opportunities that you find yourself immersed in, and there are two parts to this.
So tackling the first one, and kind of by way of background to our listeners, uh, I personally, and I'm dragging the university along, been on this journey about praying and prayer and the implications of that for my own personal life, and more than, more importantly, for the university.
And over the summer, God began to orchestrate some things in my heart about instead of talking about it or speaking about it in chapel or having prayer events, we really need to get strategic in how we structure the life of the school around prayer, word and prayer.

Ju- just share with our listeners about what God's doing in your life in this area.
Well, this is something, uh, you had mentioned to us in cabinet that you wanted to.
We want it to be, uh, part of every facet of Williams, just foundational to what we do.
We've been, uh, working through, uh, uh, uh, a book study that you presented to us and, uh, I found that very meaningful.
When you mentioned, uh, that you would like for that to be a cabinet position, uh, speaking of prayer, I literally prayed that I would get that opportunity.
So, uh, when I was in your office one day and you slid the new job description across the desk at me, I had no idea, uh, that was coming.
Now, as I told you, uh, one day this week when we were talking, this new assignment you've given me is turning into an actual job.
[laughs] There is a lot involved with this, as well as launching the, uh, Ministry Training Institute-
