Well, Yusuf, like I said, I am so excited to hear your story on this because I have many friends I know personally, and the conversations I've had with people in Africa, on the streets, or even sometimes with people attending our trainings, I have been surprised by the things I've been told.

I remember the very first time I was in Uganda, we were having conversations on the street and asking people, hey, what do you think about abortion? And a group of guys told one of our leaders, well, we need abortions because otherwise...

would be in jail because i'm sleeping with underage girls and they're getting pregnant and so i'm giving them get an abortion so i don't go to jail and to me i was just like what in the world right like how are we getting in cultures and society where that is considered okay and then other stories i've heard from girls in churches in kenya for example where they said they told their boyfriend hey i'm sorry i'm not going to sleep with you anymore He broke up with her.

And to me, I'm just like, I know sexual brokenness is extremely common in our culture.

But at least in the U.S., I don't see it to that extent as those stories that I've been hearing of how terrible it really is in African communities sometimes, even in the African Christian communities.

So that's one reason why I really wanted you on to talk about how do we address this issue? What is working to help men find victory and freedom over the temptations of the evil one in this area of sexual temptation? And yeah, really, I guess maybe though, what is your story on this? Maybe that's the most powerful thing is if you can start with your story and then tell us how you got to where you're now mentoring other men to be people of integrity.

all right uh thank you so much uh for having me i always see it a privilege you know uh to speak you know uh in a situation where a lot of people out there will hear my story get a story of young people in africa and out that will encourage them, you know, to stand firm, you know, to do the right thing.

I am Yusuf Ayuba from Nigeria, and I'm the founder and director of Ibsen Light Foundation and the national, Nigerian national leader of ProLight Global.

I'm also working with MSC Projects, and I happen to be the West Africa Journal director.

First of all, my passion is to protect unborn lives, families, and young people to live life of purpose, responsibility, and purity.

You know, in the pro-life movement, I always find a strong connection between sexual purity and pro-life movement.

They are connected because when men practice self-control and take responsibility of their actions, you find out that, you know, there are fewer unintended pregnancies.

Fewer women pray to abort their babies, you know, and then you see stronger families.

Because it's a serious problem we are facing in Africa, where life is not valued.
