Episode 510 - Astrological Association info and Bath Astrology Group update

And I've mentioned before that I'm a trustee, which means that I volunteer my time and energy to assist the association so that they meet their stated objectives because we are registered as a charity at the Charity Commission.

So we obviously have to operate as a charity.

And each of us, there's a few of us on the board, we do various different things, some of which are the promoting on social media of the organisation itself.

Now, I have mentioned before that I'm part of a teeny subgroup within the Astrological Association that puts together the online library.

And there are numerous things that the Astrological Association does that are online.

So if you become a member of the AA, you get free access to courses.

we call astro duets so i've done a few of those where we have two people having a discussion about something and those two people are professional astrologers it's a zoom call and and if you're a member you are automatically included if you're outside and you're not a member you can just pay for that particular what we call astro duet if you want to know about them regularly then you need to go to the astrological association's facebook page google it you'll find it and join and then you will automatically be given the details of that you can also subscribe to there it's called in the loop all of these things are on the website of the association so there's I don't think people quite realise exactly how much the Astrological Association offers people that are interested in astrology.

You do not have to be an astrologer.

So we had that discussion last week about what an astrologer is and what astrologers do or don't do.

But just an interest in it.

So if you go to the website, you can go to, and I'll put the link, astrologicalassociation.com and have a little whiz around the website, see lots of things there.

Now, it's very bitty, this episode, so you have to excuse me.

I was looking for interesting things to tell you about today about the association and the most interesting thing for me is the fact that we have this online library of which I'm a subgroup within the association volunteer trustee whatever I look after the online library so the association over the years has built up a physical library of physical books and And a gentleman called Philip Graves, who I have interviewed twice, I think, and he's speaking at the conference.

Philip also has his own library, which he has collected zillions of books over the years worth.

I hate to think how much that must be worth.

And he hosts them in his home.

And then we... um we got some funding and he scanned all the books and those books are available so if you become a member of the astrological association and you want to be able to access those books it's a small extra payment to have access to hundreds i'm going to say hundreds i mean hundreds hundreds of books and magazines and stuff all about astrology that have all happened over the years obviously there's nothing Apart from a few things on there that is still within copyright and the book that is on there that is within copyright, the authors of those books have given us permission to include them.
