Ramaḍān Reminders 1438H: nightly reminders after Tarāwīḥ, by Ustādh Rayaan Barker (hafidhahullāh) • The Salaf took great care over how they concluded their deeds at the end of Ramaḍān, following the…
They did this following the example of the Prophet ﷺ and also acting upon the saying of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُوا مَا آتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةً أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, And those who give...
From what they give, whilst their hearts are full of fear, whilst their hearts are full of fear, that they surely will return to their Lord.
It says that indeed Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has described his believing slaves that they give from that which they give, from the righteous actions and from obedience and striving as well in the actions of worship for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And as well, whilst they do this, they fear their Lord, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
They do not know, has their actions been accepted by Allah? Okay, this is the reason.
And why they fear? Because they do not know all the actions that they performed.
Have they been accepted by Allah and His subhanahu wa ta'ala? So therefore upon this the shaykh mentions and he says, So it is upon a person that he does not become amazed by his actions, however great they may seem to him.
A person should not be amazed by his actions, however great they may seem to him.
Because such a person, or everybody, we do not know if One of our actions has been accepted by Allah SWT.
And if an action or if our actions, they have not been accepted by Allah, therefore, there is no benefit in them.
Even if our actions are numerous and they are grand, they are great in our eyes.
So therefore, If they have not been accepted by Allah, therefore they are as if they are like dust, dust particles which just blow away and there is no benefit.
So therefore, the Sheikh, he mentions, so therefore our exertion in worship will be without any benefit at all.
So the Sheikh, he mentions here, the importance, the way we should see and perceive our actions.
Not that we do not act because we do not know if it's been accepted or not, but no. that we come with all of the conditions that we do our best regarding our actions but at the end we do not become amazed by them and start relaxing and think they've been accepted but instead we should fear that they've not been accepted following the example of the Salaf and acting by the verse with the Shaykh as mentioned so the Shaykh mentions Whereas if Allah accepts an action, even if it is small, if it is very little, indeed Allah will multiply its reward.
And Allah will give from him any great reward for any such actions, even if they are little or small.
Allah SWT says, Allah SWT says, Allah SWT says, Allah SWT says, And if the action is good, then Allah, He multiplies the reward.
And the Shaykh continues and he says, He says actions, they are merely rewards.
means the actions are merely means okay this is another way we need to look at our actions that they are merely means okay they are merely means i need for the end goal for something that we seek and he says and the intent should be on if it's accepted and the intent and it should be on if it's accepted or what determines and it determines an action and it is its acceptance okay it's acceptance by allah so therefore from the angle of a slave, of a person, a person should exert themselves in taking the means.
