Az-Zumar

وَالشَّرَّ النَّاسِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ And the worst of people in Islam.

With the same hand, the same spear, I killed the best of people in my days of ignorance and the worst of people in my Islam, right? And Subhanallah, with that, that's why many of the ulema you'll find in the tafsir of Surah Az-Zumar.

قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَخْفِرُ ذُنُوبَ جَمِيعًا إِنَّهُ الْغَفُورُ رَحِيمٌ Say, "O my servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah.

Allah forgives all sins.

That's why people ask this question, why was this created, why was that created? Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala designed, created the angels to worship him subhanahu wa ta'ala.

The end of Surah Az-Zumar.

وَتَرَى الْمَلَائِكَةَ حَافِينَ مِنْ حَوْلِ الْأَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ You find the angels are swarming around the Arsh of Allah and the heavens.

Praising and glorifying Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

One verse in the Quran, literally, it should blow your brain.

It's in Surah Az-Zumar.

Allahu khaliqu kulli shayin.

That's it.

We can't force people into the faith.

In Surah 39, verse 18, it says, And this goes with another theme in the Quran, is that each individual is responsible for their own neck.

We don't bear the burden of someone else's sins.

Each individual is solely answerable to God alone.

So there's a hadith from Thauban r.a.

He said, I heard Rasulullah s.a.w. saying, I wouldn't want, in place of this verse, I wouldn't want any part of the dunya, everything in the dunya, in the place of this verse, which is a very, very famous verse of Surah Az-Zumar, verse 53, just so that you know where to check it up afterwards.

يَا عِبَادِيَا الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ An extremely powerful verse with many people have found to be their most hope-filled verse in the Qur'an.

Essentially what Allah is saying here is that, O My servants.

If he wills, he'll do, he'll forgive, otherwise he won't.

And I don't know if I'm going to be forgiven or not.

Is there anything else you can give me some hope in? So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala then reveals this verse, which is considered to be one of the most hopeful verses in the Qur'an, from Surah Az-Zumar.

Say, O my servants who have transgressed against themselves.
