Shannon TaylorGuestJenHostSo how do you find your purpose? What would be your suggestion?

I think that's a really interesting and tricky place to start because it takes a lot of, it takes a lot of energy to sit down and connect to what it is that you feel guided towards, what it is you should be doing.

And when we live like super busy lives it's really easy to jump through that not even notice it not even fully tune into ourselves anymore because you're just you're doing the day-to-day things you're living life you're doing whatever your grind is and you're making it all work and when we step back and go like what am I really supposed to be doing some people know they they know from the time they're small they figure it out kind of midlife somewhere or early 20s and they're like I'm good here and most people are good until they figure out like this isn't working for me anymore and I don't I don't specifically at least for myself I don't always find it easy to narrow down my why or my what because I feel like at least for myself I'm a little all over the place I like multiple things I get bored really easy so having this Things can shift and change and fit into whatever's happening energetically works best for me.

But when people are really struggling with what is my path, what am I supposed to be doing with my life? That can be really tricky because it does take, you have to take a moment to sit back and really open up with yourself about what it is you like, what you don't like, what you're good at, what you really is not your cup of tea or your zone of genius.
That's true.

I know that doesn't really answer your question, but it really is paying more attention to what it is that you feel driven towards, what it is that is within your zone of genius, what it is that lights you up, what it is that makes your heart happy, what it is that makes you want to do your why and really pay attention to the things that really feel heavy and draining.

And it can be tough, especially when you've been in a career for so long or you could be really great at what you do and still not feel fulfilled.
Yes, yes.
I know when I was given the sign or the download to start the podcast, I had to really think about it.
And then it occurred to me that I love bragging about people.
I love it.
I love knowing everything about them and then sharing that with other people because I think they should know that person too.
So it made total sense that I should be talking to more people and not advertising them, but sharing them with the world.
Right?
