So tell me, Em, what is something that you wish someone had told you when you had first started teaching? Oh, okay.
I've got a bit of a list there,
but with regards to teaching and something I wish someone would have told me earlier is not to spread myself too thin.
I think that is...
And with that said, there is quite a fine line with that.
I think it's really important to work really hard.
I think anyone who has a successful business or who has been in their career for some time now will know that there is just, it's a bit unavoidable to not do the hard work and have to
hustle at the beginning.
You have to hustle.
And I'm not here to tell you to sugarcoat it, there is going to be periods of your career and of your life when you do need to put in the work and to hustle.
I think the main goal is to find where your ceiling is and where your boundaries are with how hard you can push yourself.
But yeah, I think it's really important to know not to spread yourself too thin, what opportunities or what things to say yes to.
So for example, I have a little thing in my head that if it is not a fuck yes, it's a no. It's it.
It's a fuck no. That's it.
Yeah.
And you have to really have your heart in it.
Otherwise it's going to feel 10 times harder and it just will feel a little bit all for nothing.
So that's a really good idea.
Little t-shirt girl.
I love it.
But yeah, not spreading yourself too thin.
So I guess in a Pilates context for a new teacher, I think it's really important to say yes and take those opportunities and work across multiple studios.
It's very important to diversify your income and making sure that you are getting variety.
But Not saying yes to five different studios and it's a Monday and you've turned up at the wrong studio and all those things.
It's probably going to happen to someone at some point.
