Do you run an enclosed or an open trailer? Which do you prefer? Let me know! Email me: lawncareunscripted@gmail.com
What I wanted to talk to everyone about today is trailers.
I know it's an enticing conversation.
I've always run an open trailer.
I've had three or four different open trailers i've never even thought about an enclosed trailer at the beginning of this year i was doing some work for a commercial customer of mine and he had a trailer who's like hey do you know anybody who who would want this he goes we're you know this part of the business is closed down and we're not using it anymore i said well i'm I don't really know.
I don't typically run an enclosed trailer, but I'll check it out and see if there's anybody that might be interested.
So I gave it a few days, and I kept thinking about it.
I was like, I wonder what it would be like to – use an enclosed trailer so i i made a deal with him i did a small cleanup job oh my mic's falling i did a small cleanup job and basically traded him the the work for the trailer which i think was a pretty good deal it's an old enclosed trailer and it's got a wrap on it and you know, all kinds of other stuff.
But I thought, well, if nothing else, it'll give me something to do during this upcoming winter season, give me something to work on.
And I've got it, and I basically parked it next to the shop, and it's been sitting there all year long.
And we were moving a family at our church this past weekend, and they needed an enclosed trailer.
So I said, well...
I just happened to have one.
So I unhooked all my regular stuff and then hooked up to that one and used it.
And Monday morning I was fixing to go disconnect and reconnect to my open.
I said, well, Why don't I just give this a whirl and we'll see what it's like.
I got to tell you, I feel like I've been missing out.
The enclosed trailer life is nice.
You don't have to unload everything at the end of the day.
Everything's out of the weather.
It's pretty nice.
So I think I am...
I'm definitely going to run an enclosed trailer next year, and I've actually already gotten another one.
My brother-in-law is in the spraying business, and he used to be a lawn care guy when he lived in Savannah.
So when he moved up here, he put his trailer in storage and basically forgot about it.
He said that he hit a curb or something and bent an axle and just basically ignored the thing.
