Market very jittery, of course, about interest rates, the housing market, what the Federal Reserve will do in next week's meeting, kind of counteracted with stronger than anticipated earnings reports from some of the banks kind of recovered and some of the more consumer staples, some of the things that had been lagging safety trades as people were hiding from AI semiconductors, all the things And then, of course, next week, all eyes are on the Federal Reserve as they conclude their two day meeting, where as last check, the Fed fund futures rates had a 72 percent chance of them holding rates steady oil.

I know that pain at the pump is a big issue for all consumers, as we're kind of hearing about today.

So we'll pause and give it over to Ashley for a chance to chime in and see how she thinks about what's going on.
Yeah, I think a lot of, like you said, this AI intelligence is kind of putting a lot of pressure on the markets, as we've seen, obviously, some of this volatility.
But on the other kind of, I guess, economic data front, housing is top of mind for lots of folks.
Housing starts slumped in September 2020. which is continuing to raise concerns, I guess, for people about the real estate market as the Federal Reserve meeting is coming up and thinking about whether rate hikes will occur.
Pending home sales, we will see also today, and we saw that U.S. home builder sentiment sink to a 14-year low.
So I think there's some negativity around home affordability, home... pending home sales and home builder sentiment.
I think there, as we've been watching treasury yields, interest rates, 30-year mortgage rates, for those of you, we've been talking about this for a while, but for lots of people who are kind of in this um, world of whether they're going to do renovations to a current home or moving, or if you're a first time home buyer, there's lots to think about, I think in this just market in this real estate environment.
So always kind of taking a look and digesting that as we kind of see all these interest rate data and information unfold.

And as you said, we have a lot of clients who are interested in maybe buying their first home or upgrading their home.

Her views on the market are, medium i guess i would say in terms of where interest rates are and i think it's impacting a lot of folks and their decisions we saw of course oil prices impact in last week's uh inflation data we had hotter than anticipated inflation on both cpi and ppi so a big point there which i think you had was um airline tickets and uh driving to places which are directly impacted by the gasoline prices so seeing how that works out um we've got tons of earnings this week um as you mentioned lockheed martin honeywell western digital which has been a darling we've got meta and tesla tomorrow and of course netflix and Capital One after the close today.

So lots of, I guess, clues to see how the consumer is doing with the banks continuing and as well as some of these tech SOC AI plays, memory plays, see what the chip sell through and pull through is on a lot of this where the demand is still as hot as it was.
