Welcome to Season 7: It’s Getting Salty Around Here

Okay, so let's talk about Kat Corchado.

The freaking fabulous Kat Corchado.

She is an Air Force veteran.

Very proud Air Force veteran with her own podcast called Sisters in Service.

And she's also a movement specialist, Pilates instructor.

She has... she started her own business in her sixties called the Fit for Life Alliance, where she helps women in midlife get themselves, get their bodies moving.

Cause she always likes to say, keep it moving.

If you keep it moving, you get to keep it moving.

Right.

And Kat, oh my gosh, she has the best laugh.

And that's what we do.

We do a lot of that on the show.

Um, we found each other in 2021 2022 in a social media audio app called clubhouse that you may or may never have heard of and uh in a podcasting group and then we ended up in a mastermind group a business mastermind group together that is led by the our fierce and fearless leader, Kim White.

And in getting to know each other through the mastermind, we realized how much fun we have together and decided to start Salty Sisters.

And so that's been going on for a couple of years.

I do talk about it every now and again, but I don't know if you know who she is.

And I feel like I want you to know who she is.

So What the show actually is, Salty Sisters, some weeks it's just the two of us yakking.

We pick a topic that we think matters to women in midlife and beyond and we talk about it and we laugh too much and I make up words and things go sideways in ways that I could never plan.

And there's other weeks where we bring in a guest or two.

And this is the part that I didn't expect to love as much as I do.

Interviewing someone with another person is a completely different animal.

Kat asks things that I would never think to ask and she hears something in an answer that I might skate right past and she goes after it.

And I get to actually listen instead of managing the whole thing in my head.

So it turns out I've been doing this alone for six years, partly because it never occurred to me to not to.
