Don't be the only Candle on the Cake ~ EP 92

So I wanted to kind of rewind a little bit.

I had already done a previous episode on Tamela Hornsford before, and it was called Seasons Mishaps.

And I did it December 18th of 2021.

So you can go back through my episodes, go all the way back.

Like this is the first year I'd started.

And because the crime actually happened in 2018.

So I wanted to revisit it just because of everything going on with the Nolan Wells.

So I won't go into Nolan Wells because I'm sure everybody's over inundated with it.

Not to say that it's a bother with a young man losing his life, but just that the continuous news cycle on social media, that's all you're kind of seeing right now.

So I'm sure everybody is abreast of what's happening with that.

But I wanted to come in on my own and do a little bit more of a deep dive into Tamela Hornsford because all of these crimes that are happening back to back, they all have similar things in common.

It's always just one black person.

in a party or a room full of their caucasian friends alleged friends i do my bunny ears with that now for anyone that's not aware of uh tamela horns ford's story um this happened november 4th of 2018 in forsyth county georgia now if you're not familiar with forsyth county georgia forsyth county is the most racist i wouldn't say them no i can't say the most racist uh county in georgia it is just the most um publicized uh racist county in georgia because i'm sure there are far worse ones um but forsyth county in 1912 they forced all of their black residents out of forsyth county um no it was not eminent domain it was nothing of that nature it was actually triggered by accusations that several black men had assaulted two local white women ellen grice and may crowe Now, following these accusations, lynching and executions occurred.

A white mob lynched one of the accused men, Rob Edwards, in downtown Cummings, and two black teenagers, Ernest Knox and Oscar Daniel, were swiftly convicted by an all-white jury and publicly hanged.

Now, the campaign of terror, basically, in the weeks surrounding the trials, white vigilantes known as Knight Riders, they launched a coordinated campaign of terror.

They used arson, dynamite, and gun violence to burn down black-owned homes, businesses and churches they also did land seizure facing imminent threats to their lives the county's entire black population was forced to flee leaving behind their homes farms and property which were subsequently seized by white residents okay so they called this like a violent racial cleansing and it kept forsyth county completely, well, virtually all white for nearly 80 years.

Okay, now mind you, this is public knowledge.
