VITEC Diamond-IP OG Brings ST 2110 to openGear | IBC2026

At IBC2026 we speak with Fiona Tait from VITEC about the new Diamond-IP OG encoder and the transition from traditional SDI workflows towards IP. Fiona explains how the openGear card natively captures SMPTE ST 2110 sources, including uncompressed and JPEG XS video, supporting one 4K60p feed or up to four HD feeds. We also discuss SMPTE ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy, HEVC and H.264 encoding, up to eight output streams and support for protocols including Zixi, SRT, RIST and Pro-MPEG. The Diamond-IP OG joins VITEC’s modular openGear range, giving operators greater flexibility to combine different input technologies as their workflows move towards IP.
