Procrastination isn't a character flaw. It's a signal. In this episode, we're getting real about why kids ministry leaders procrastinate—especially when energy is low and the tasks feel endless. Cole…

You know, we just came, you know, we're recording this, we're in August, so we just came off the summer.

We just weren't able to take a summer vacation and get that usual summer reset that I get.
OK, so then knowing that, how do you think this procrastination is affecting you as a leader and how is it affecting your team? Is there any impact there?

I can't say that it's weird because it is the beginning of the new school year, the end of the summer, and you have that natural rotation of volunteers stepping away and stepping in and things like that.

But I can't say that there's been anything specific with volunteers where they were like, you know, that I know of.

But there's anything that's hindering any type of Sunday morning or, you know, relationship wise or anything like that.
So then here's my second part to that question.
So when you finally do go after the task, is it because there's a deadline to it? Um, or, um, you feel pressured to do it or is it something you're like, I can't wait to get back to it.
Cause you talked about energy and, and those kinds of things.
So what, what's your final motivator that gets you to actually go do the task?

It's been a little bit since we had a good training, but this year we're rolling out some cool stuff with special needs.
