First Corinthians chapter 14, verse 40 says, let all things be done decently and in order.
freedom we like freedom it requires structure chaos kills consistency structure can create margin in your day and what does that mean well get up early so you're ahead of the traffic you're ahead of the noise you're ahead of the emails and the text and the phone calls and you will see your day unfold a lot more predictable and a lot more enjoyable because you have more margin in your day but if you hit snooze and you wake up late and you're getting there in the nick of time or five minutes late it can really throw off your entire day built men we don't just wing our days we have them planned out we have them structured so why do most men struggle they live reactively not intentionally I feel like they're constantly putting out fires They let the day decide for them.
They confuse busyness with progress.
I've been guilty of that so many times in my life.
If I'm just busy, that means I'm successful.
It means I'm productive.
It's not true.
Unstructured days produce unfocused lives.
Structure is not restriction.
Structure protects what matters.
It removes decision fatigue.
You ever felt real tired and you don't know why? Maybe you're like, well, should I, should I, should I? What do I feel like? What do I feel like? And that's how you're going through your week.
That's a lot of it.
When you can look at your watch and go, okay, I know exactly what I'm doing in an hour.
I know exactly what I'm doing tonight and tomorrow.
It just gives us peace knowing it's Thursday night.
It's Wednesday night.
I go to church.
It's Tuesday night.
We got Built Men's Zoom call.
7 p.m. Saturday morning, men's breakfast.
I know at different seasons of life, guys, we can't always do these same things that I mentioned, right? I'm not always going to be able to do these same things, but When I don't put enough items on my calendar that are going to help me spiritually, physically, be honest, be accountable, then I'm going to float back into the old Tom, the one that is very disappointed in himself in all areas.
