The pool of candidates for county and town leadership is a mix of familiar and new faces.
Challengers say they're frustrated with how unaffordable Jackson Hole has become.
They're not presenting immediate solutions, but every incumbent is also seeking reelection.

about 30 people drink beers at a rainy block party 33 year old Chris Glenn takes the mic to say he's running as a write-in independent progressive sheriff running on a policy of anti-ice pro-trans women in all of our vulnerable communities.

He needs 270 signatures to face two-term incumbent Democrat Matt Carr and Republican Eric Snow, a sheriff's deputy, in the general election.

Carr and Snow want to keep honoring detainers, allowing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to remove people from the jail.

In other races, candidates bring up a different top theme, affordability.

But so far, these races don't have such clear central issues with one side versus another.

So we reached out to everyone to ask how they're pitching themselves to the community.

Of the nine challengers for town council and county commission, three have no campaign experience.

Gabriel Korber says he decided to run on deadline day when he saw no new names on the list.
And I was like, how? has nobody else stepped up to just put a different voice in.

The hospitality worker moved here as a teenager, worked several jobs he described as fun, and now says it's getting harder to live here.
So I feel like that's what makes most people.
I'm going to run.
