The first couple of months maybe of the season now we've been, it's gone quickly from Withenshaw, the famously Midlands club Withenshaw away on the first day of the season was quite a trek up.

must have been thinking all right brilliant i'm playing in the in the midlands uh nice and local games for us and suddenly withinshaw comes out it's
a nightmare as well because northampton isn't even that close for me it's about an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half from where i live so northampton is a bit of a trek and then having to go all the way up to withinshaw that was a that was a long old day for sure

Yeah, but I think the theme of the first few weeks of the season was defeats, but learning quite a lot from those defeats, quite tight games against sporting cows were a traditionally really good side at this level.

Notts County, we just struggled to get over the line, but it had that feeling of you're coming out of games really, really frustrated at losing them, but at the same time learning quite a lot and you're progressing now from that and taking quite a lot from those early defeats.
Yeah, I think frustrating is definitely the word I'd use to describe that first part of the season.
Like you said, on the one hand, being close and staying in games for large spells and stuff is a real positive.
But on the other hand, it makes that defeat so much more frustrating when you're so close or the scoreline was so close.
But I think it's a lot of small margins that we were missing in those first few weeks, especially small margins, small mistakes.
But I still think that we've got a lot more that we can give on the pitch and we've got levels that I think we can step up even from where we are now compared to where we were at the start of the season.
