Back then to when you were coming through, what was the kinda character that you showed? 'Cause I'm interested in any athlete and how they develop into a professional athlete from where they start off from.

What was the character yourself, and what's the character yourself now, I guess, that made you a professional player?
I've played with a lot of good players, but, you know, I was always gonna be one of the hardest working on the team.
I was always willing to hit the gym or, against my best judgment, I would do pre-activations because I was old school before we even had activation and warmups.
Then towards the back end of my career, you had 30 minutes of just rolling out and activating before you would go warm up and do 5v2.
It was more one of those things where it's like, you challenge me, I'm gonna rise to the occasion.
When you play the game, there's hundreds, thousands of battles all around the field for the 90 minutes.
Constantly, every little thing, am I gonna see this ball out? Am I gonna beat the defender of this ball? Am I gonna have a good touch to set up my teammate to make the next successful pass? It's constantly making decisions, constantly thinking through the games.
I had the mindset of every action, I'm gonna win every action that I can, and that's what I could control.
That mindset of just being coachable, working hard, controlling the controllables, that's something that kinda just led me through each stage of my career and got me to where I wanted to go until the knees were like, "No, you can't do it anymore."
