Once a week, they'd go in there and they'd line you up and they'd say, here's a horse.

Is it considered politically incorrect to name something after an animal if you're going to jump over it? A horse was a kind of a...

thing you jumped over or you do handstands on it somehow, you'd be expected to do handstands on it.

There'd be a mat in front of it that was supposedly going to save your life if something went wrong, something catastrophic happened.

One by one, you'd go up to the horse, the teacher would be standing beside the horse, press your forehead into the padded bit, the top of this horse with a kind of a table shaped object that was about shoulder height.

You'd be expected to put your forehead onto the front edge of that and then roll yourself over so you do a kind of headstand.

You'd roll into a headstand or something on top of this horse and the teacher would kind of put her hand in front of your chest as if that's going to save your life if you roll the wrong way.

I'm sure they wouldn't put you through anything in the PE hall that's dangerous.

Now, one school I went to, they had a horse and say, OK, we're done with the horse now.

And a box was exactly the same as the horse, except the sides were vertical instead of sloped.

a horse and they expect you to jump over this, that would be considered animal abuse.

I don't think they let horses jump over things like that anymore, do they? I know they have show jumping and horses run around the track and jump over little hedges and things.

I know if they made the horse jump over the thing that's called a horse in a PE hall, Firstly, they wouldn't do it in a PE hall, it's too crowded.

A PE hall is the size of maybe two or three classrooms, but it's not big enough to have horses running around in and jumping over horses.

And if the horse was going to jump over that in a show jumping thing, it certainly wouldn't do headstands.
