Do you have sexual desire within you, but not for your husband? Do you feel shame or guilt by not having a sense of desire for your husband? This is a very difficult truth to admit and an easy one…
So let's get into this topic.
And I'm gonna be brutally honest in this episode.
And as you're reflecting, I invite you to be as well.
So if I ask you the question today, Do you desire your husband or do you still have desire for your husband? What's your response? Take a minute and really let yourself answer this question honestly.
And if you're thinking, well, I just don't desire them anymore because, you know, we just don't have time, we don't have energy, and we're just so busy with work and kids, I'll tell you, that's a different kind of problem.
But it's not a desire problem per se.
So now, when you think about the question, and if your answer is kind of a, mm, meh, maybe, then that's okay too, because you may just be stuck in between your feelings of love, appreciation, and friendship for your partner versus your sexual desire for them.
And it does get blurry, so I understand if you fall into this category.
But then for some other ladies, And again, this is hard to admit and we often don't want to say it because we wish it weren't true.
But the answer is just a no.
And admitting this no, as hard as it is, this does not mean that we don't love our partners or that we don't appreciate them.
And it doesn't mean that we're not happy in the relationship.
And it certainly doesn't mean that we should be calling a divorce lawyer, okay? But This is a scary thing to admit because I think a lot of those questions do come up in our heads as we try to answer this question.
So if you're a no response to this question, you know, you might be thinking, well, what does this mean? And I know that that's a scary thought, but I'm here to tell you that you don't need to be afraid and you don't need to go down the scary road.
because the way you feel is normal.
And I bet it's a lot more common than we think or want to admit just because it feels so shameful and so scary to say it.
And all too often, if we feel this uncomfortable feeling, we might just be really quick to brush it aside, especially with our duties as a mom and just say, well, you know, it doesn't matter.
You know, it's not important.
And, you know, it's just natural.
So, you know, whatevs.
But as women and as moms, of course, you know, we don't want to disrupt our family and our family harmony over an issue that we may think of as being trivial or at worst selfish.
