2026 FIFA World Cup – Bosnia-Herzegovina Players Short Version – Part 2 of 2

Beginning with the manager, Sergei Barbares, who will consider a selection because he was not replaced or anything shortly before the Cup here, as we have had with a couple of other teams.

Definite candidate Nicola Vazels was selected for the squad, as was likely candidate Martin Zlamislic.

But, well, Osman Hazekic, our other likely candidate, was selected for the squad, but has recently been removed from the squad due to injury and replaced with newcomer Mladen Jurkac.

So we're not going to talk about candidates at the possible but unlikely level or seemingly off the squad here.

But we will mention who we think is going to be the starter.

We think three stars for Nicola Basils.

That means we think he's a definite starter.

Moving on to defenders, we have a definite candidate in Nicola Catic.

who was selected however our first likely candidate Adrian Leon Barisic out with injury and not selected the second likely candidate Tarek Muharremovic was selected for the squad We had three possible candidates here.

Two of them are selected.

The first two, Denis Hadzikadounidj and Nidal Salik, both of those selected.

But the third possible candidate, Iman Cospo, was not selected.

Here we do have to go into the possible but unlikely category because Stepan Radeljic was selected.

there so a bit surprising and there we have our five central defenders moving on to left back we had no candidates at the definite level and basically we have out of position players here so central defenders both The likely candidate, Nihad Mujakic, was selected and so was the possible candidate, Siad Kolasinac.

After looking at the recent games here in 2026, we now think that Kolasinac will be the likely starter and Mujakic a possible starter there.

Moving on to right backs, well we have Ammar Dedic as a definite candidate.

He was kind of roving all around the field playing in different positions there and when he did that it was often our first possible candidate Arjan Malic covering for him.

However Malic was not chosen for the squad, nor two with the other two possible candidates, Emir Karic and Jusuf Gazibegovic.

So we have Ammar Dedic as the only candidate over here.

We consider him a definite starter in this area, and we think he will not roam as much as he did in the build-up to the Cup.

Defensive midfielders, we begin with definite candidate Zenis Burnic.

He was selected for the squad.

So too was likely candidate Ivan Suncic and we have possible candidate Amir Hadjiamatovic also selected for the squad there.

We think that Zenis Burnic is a possible starter in the midfield, but also a possible starter as a left-back, as he has played there quite a bit during the period.

Likely candidate Ivan Suncic, we think, is a likely starter on the field, although there is a bit of an injury concern hanging over him.
