Actress on set: Siena Yee

Oh, I kind of started.

So I think it's because I watched a lot of like random shows as a kid and I saw a lot of behind the scenes.

And that's kind of what got me into doing like acting.

I also think doing school productions was also a big influence on that.

I kind of was just doing it for funsies.

And then at one point I was like, oh, I kind of want to do this, do this.

So we tried out for some things, some theater auditions at the start and kind of kind of went from there.

So, yeah.

Awesome.

Awesome.

All right.

So with the theater auditions, can you share a little bit like how did it go? When did you get your first role?

Yeah.

So I did two theater auditions.

Like one was a community theater show for Calgary Young People's Theater.

And the other one was for Theater Calgary.

So two two different theater companies.

I think they kind of happened at the same time.

The Calgary Young People's Theatre audition was a little less scary because it was more of a community-based theatre company.

And it was more so just like, I think it was more so you came in and did a monologue that you chose and you did a cold read in the audition room.

Yeah, it was pretty good.

I think...

I mean, I don't recall that one as much other than my parents being there with me outside and then I'm going into the room.

And then I just kind of did whatever.

And then the Theatre Calgary audition was a lot more scarier because there was a lot more kids I know who were auditioning.
