That's such a great question, isn't it? And for those listening, I think, came across one of your posts about receiving and it just blew my mind because for me, I'm such a giver and I just get off on giving and, and, but I'm sure it's much deeper than that.

So when we talk about receiving, what are we actually talking about, Nicola? We're really good at giving, and especially us

And what does it mean to receive? Receiving means allowing ourselves to, like you said, be vulnerable, allowing ourselves to...

A lot of the time we're conditioned to be, oh no, no, why would you say that about me? Oh no, no, I look terrible.

And even I was talking to my daughter about receiving the other day and she said on TikTok and on Instagram, it's very much you don't receive compliments.

It's like vanity or being full of yourself or if you're accepting of a compliment.

So it's easier just to block the ability to receive by saying, oh, I can do this, or you can't do that for me, or I'll get the coffee.

If somebody asks you, would you like a coffee? Oh, I'll get the next one then.

And like you said, especially as women, as mothers, women of our age, we deflect it.
