Welcome back to Inside Inter Miami.

I'm your host, Andre Fernandez, joined as always by Michelle Kaufman, our Inter Miami beat writer.

We're back for another week to talk some more Inter Miami soccer, and, uh, leading off with some sad news un- unfortunately, uh, the passing of Lionel Messi's father, Jorge Messi, at age 68.

Uh, just a tragic occurrence that really affect, has affected the team.

We're going to talk a little bit about that, how it's aff- affected them both on and off the field.

Obviously, we know Lionel Messi was not there for, uh, Miami's game against Monterrey, a 2-1 defeat that has really buried them in the Leagues Cup standings, uh, at this point.

We'll talk a little bit about, uh, what they'd have to do to be able to advance.

It's not looking, uh, very positive for them right now with one game to go in the pool round of the tournament.

Uh, we'll discuss that a little bit.

And we'll have some, uh, updates on some players, some key players that have been missing due to injuries.

German Veltame, we'll check in on how he's doing.

Mateo Sevetti.

And, uh, a feel-good story on the, on the flip side, uh, De Lasco Segovia has done a lot for the earthquake victims of Venezuela.

We'll talk about what's going- went on, uh, his efforts on that front.

And we'll discuss the situation surrounding Argentine semi-pro player, Matias Purang, w- who, uh, he plays for Miami United and was detained by ICE at the Fort Lauderdale Airport while traveling with his team to LA for the UPSL semifinals.

We'll dive into that story.

Michelle wrote something, uh, this week about that whole situation.

But first and foremost, we wanted to extend our condolences to the Messi family.

Uh, we know it's a tough time right now, uh, with what everyone's dealing with on that front.
