PlaylistMakers: Songs With A Name In It (with Wild Pink, Chris Deville, and Ovven)

Welcome back to the Indie Basketball Podcast, and since it's the off-season, we're back with a Playlist Makers episode.

Uh, we're gonna be drafting song titles with a name in it.

Um, fun little category, and, um, for those who haven't heard it before, uh, Playlist Makers is kind of like a fantasy draft style, uh, format where we're drafting a playlist.

We're picking songs one by one.

You can think of it sort of like playing Music League, uh, but we're doing it live, uh, and on the spot.

And to do this, I have three awesome guests with me to, to make this possible.

So let- let's meet you guys, and let's start with, with Owen, Owen Burton, uh, s-songwriter of the band Oven, not Owen, correct? Um-

Yeah, that's right

... and you just released, uh, an album, Gnawing at the Cord, earlier this year, yeah?

Yep.

Yeah, that was back in February.

You've been, uh, touring for that at all?

Yeah.

We did a, a week tour in June that was out to the Northeast, and, uh, potentially later tonight, if I get my last ticket link, I'll be announcing, uh, some Midwest shows coming up in the fall.

Sweet.

Uh, I also have Chris Deville, um, Stereogum managing editor, and released the book, uh, Such Great Heights, which is basically the modern-day indie music history book.
