Okay, it's time for the Meltdown Breakdown where we talk through an anonymous wig out that's come in by our submission form, which is linked in the show notes, Wigatonies, if you'd like to submit your own dilemmas.
Anon says, I moved to a new city around four years ago and I'm an adventurous type, so I've been really enjoying exploring the whole region.
Upon reflection, I feel like it's because I don't have any yes friends here anymore as they've moved away.
Most of my good friends still here are the planned six weeks in advance at minimum kind of friends.
Because summer is quite short here, I feel a real sense of pressure to make the most of it.
I'll add that I'm no stranger to doing things solo and that's been super cool, but I'll admit that I would rather experience it with someone else.
What is a yes, friend? okay well a yes friend is someone who defaults to showing up for you joining your adventures and supporting you through the good and bad times without needing detailed plans or heavy convincing and that is from medium but i think like that is kind of a wide definition whereas i think a non in this circumstance is talking about the kind of friends to be like should we go climb a mountain tomorrow should we go like rather than like being there for you through the good and the bad because there are plenty of friendships that aren't yes friendships that will be equally as supportive of you yeah definitely
the power of a yes friend so she's using it as like a broad term for someone that basically her boyfriend doesn't have the same spontaneity or
outdoorsy kind of predisposition she wants yes friends like people who will be spontaneous with her who will grab adventure grab life by the balls
understand how short summer is and want to to make the most of it yeah okay
