And I just like, I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that.

That's such a scary, like, it feels like such an outer body experience to just be sitting there feeling helpless and not knowing what to do, especially after having a C-section, which like, I can't even imagine.

Yeah.

Um, I think it's such a blessing that you have so many people around you and in your life that are in the medical field that you're able to reach out to questioning that because sometimes if you don't have that, then you're just like, Oh, I'm sure it's fine.

And not really giving it a second thought or like, you don't want to bother people or whatever the case may be, or, you know, so I'm proud of you for like taking that step to, to, um, speak up for you and him and, um, Um, I'm curious to know, like how, how that looks for you like now, like what's, what is it like with him as he's getting older and you do like rechecks every year, right? You go back in every year now or.

So the first year, it was like every couple months we were going down to do ECGs, echo, meeting with ENT for his throat, meeting with the OT.

So quite a few appointments the first year.

Going into the second year, it wasn't as often.

They do the ECG echo.

They'll do that every year for basically the rest of his life.

He'll go there till he's 18.

But now we're at about once a year for the heart tests.

And then we got discharged from ENT because there was no change to his vocal cords.

So they basically just said, like, he's feeling good.

If you have any concerns, like, just call us back kind of thing.

Do you remember what it was like, like, taking him home, like, for the first time? Because you had to do a lot of things yourself.

It was so stressful.

Like, I had such high anxiety about it because we had to take courses on...

the feeding tube, how to put, I had to put the feeding tube like in his nose.

And I was like shaking doing it because it was just awful.

So they had to teach us how to do all of that because he was going home with the tube.

And I was just like, are you sure he's ready to go home essentially? Because like, You know, you're not going to have all these eyes on him.
