Saundra Dalton-SmithHostCan you believe we're already halfway through the year? Every January, we begin with fresh goals, new intentions, and a vision that what we hope life will look like 12 months from now.
The deadlines appear, responsibilities increase, all the unexpected opportunities arrive, as well as those unexpected disappointments too.
And before you know it, we've been so busy living that we haven't stopped long enough to ask an important question.
Am I still building the life I actually want? That's the question I want us to sit with today.
Not because something is wrong, not because you failed, but because drifting isn't normal.
Most of us don't intentionally choose a life that leaves us exhausted, disconnected, and wondering where the year went.
And busyness has a way of quietly moving us away from the things that matter most.
I was thinking about this recently while looking back through some old journals.
And have you ever done that before? You open up a journal or you open up maybe your social media account from a year or two ago and suddenly you're face to face with a version of yourself who had Some very different hopes and prayers.
Maybe you look at goals that you had written about and had forgotten or dreams that you postponed or ideas that you never acted upon.
One of the healthiest things we can do is periodically pause and evaluate whether our lives are still aligned with our deepest values.
