It comes up a lot in therapy, and underneath, really, it's a desire to let go, to not have to think, plan, guide, to feel held in something rather than responsible for it happening and how it happens.

One husband jokingly refers to his wife as the director of operations.

She leads the way during sex.

I just love it for him to take some initiative.

Who's always on top? She is.

I want to be thrown around on the bed and I want him to take control, him to dictate terms, et cetera, et cetera.
