In this episode, we're talking about detoxing, but probably not in the way you think. Instead of focusing on cleanses, restrictive protocols, or fear around toxins, I want to talk about what it…
I'm considering doing this parasite cleanse." And I, I've been asked this a couple different times in different ways, and so I really wanna just do a little bit of a breakdown around the best way to detox, what that process actually looks like, and, and really just kind of dive into it for a hot minute, okay? So first let's talk about, like, what do you need to detox from, and why do you need to detox? And I think there can be, kind of what I was saying, like, it can become a veryOverwhelming, consuming space when we start talking about toxins.
I have always sat in the camp of wanting to be very careful opening certain doors [laughs] and how much research I went into in certain areas, because I knew, hey, this can be something that can easily become an idol.
It possibly could even become an obsession with, like, how low tox can we get? And you see that happen a lot.
And the whole point, again, of even being low tox is so that your life improves, so that you can live better.
And I think that if, if the only way to do that is to have a bunch of constraints, and rules, and regulations, that can actually take away the freedom that allows you to live better.
And so the premise of really, like, my first point is just understanding your body was made to be incredibly resilient.
Your body was designed, and everyone's body has been designed for centuries and centuries to be able to ex- to be exposed to a lot of things and still function very well.
The body is also designed to naturally detox, so the body's designed in such a way that when you do get exposed to things that can be harmful for your body, your body has an entire system and process for how it can neutralize and get rid of those things.
But let's talk about, like, what toxins are, right? So we have environmental toxins, which are things you are exposed to.
I think about, like, the main sources of toxins, so anything you're, like, applying to your skin, because you're gonna absorb those things.
That can be chemicals, estrogen mimickers, heavy metals, anything that you are ingesting.
So you can have toxins, again, through the... kind of come into the food processing process when we look at, like, the food chain and how does our food go from wherever it's grown to in our bodies.
There can be a lot of pieces in that process, different ways that things can come in, and then we ingest them.
