You see, it was joked afterwards, the beat loss of my 4-3 at Grant Park, which was a very good result from his first game.

It was a rollercoaster game, wasn't it? He said afterwards, if every week's like that, then he's not sure how his heart will maybe stand up to things going forward, because it was a...

I mean, probably the best, as a neutral, probably the best game I've seen this season and neither team sort of fussed too much about defending really.

I said to you after as you're probably standing there thinking, that's Highland League management lark.

And it was... and action right till the end really but Wick held out for what is only their second win in the league this season and I mean a great result for them and I think Ewan felt the most pleasing thing about it from his perspective was the way that the players sort of stuck together and dug in when they had to because well they had to weather a bit of a storm early on but then at 4-3 you know all the momentum was with lossy and it would have been easy for them maybe to fold but they didn't and they ground it out and got a valuable three points and i think if they continue to show that sort of spirit going forward then there's something for ewan to work with there because i think we've probably been saying gary manson was saying it before he left and that as well like when you look at Wick when they have most of their squad available you do think there's a decent side there and even like the likes of Saturday like Ewan Kennedy scored two goals again he's got six now for the season and like there's some do you think there's some positive signs there if they can sort of build on the the good things they did on Saturday and it'll be interesting to see how ewan gets on as manager because you know he's manager of holkirk previously in the north caledonian league won a cup with him last season and another local guy who although he didn't like maybe play for a week and have that island league playing experience through like management and the sort of summer amateurs and then holkirk and also his job as um head of pe at thurso high school he sort of knows this sort of local scene in caithness well and most of the players and really that's to be Wick manager I think is generally you know having that knowledge of the local scene is generally important because that's the sort of pool you're fishing in in terms of the players you're recruiting and trying to improve and things like that so it will be interesting to see how they get on with you and at the helm and for Lossie just on Saturday I think really like

Like, if you look at the games they've lost prior to Saturday, it's against the likes of Fraserborough, Firmart, and Inverurie, Clough, games where they're...

And Devonville as well, but the likes of Locos, Clough, Firmart, and Fraserborough, those are games, as much as you want to get points, aren't probably expected to get points from, but I think Saturday's one where... realistically at home they're looking at that as this is in terms of trying to progress these are the sort of games at home we want to be winning the points we should be taking and really you know both boxes just let them down they could have been more clinical with the chances ahead particularly early on and then they've conceded four goals so it's disappointing for them and as Mark Charlesworth said afterwards like he scored three goals at home you would expect that should get you something from the game but he was scratching his head as to how they'd conceded four and they've ended up with no points
