You know, I, I linked in the John McGinn thing that came back to the, the surface about two weeks ago to the way that we dealt with Askew at Motherwell and the fact that we, we were so lazy about that, Kev, that we thought we could just say to Motherwell, "Tell you what, we'll come back to you after the Scottish Cup final because we've got two me- board members dealing with everything here.
P
20:59Paul John DykesHOST
We don't have a football department.
P
21:00Paul John DykesHOST
So we'll come back to you because we can only deal with one thing at a time." And we go back, and he's already awaited to lose, and then obviously we give them a hard time, which results in Motherwell then saying, "Well, I'll tell you what.

Right.

How about last season I was at the Scottish Cup tie, and you can go back and check, I was extremely, uh, vocal about the lack, the police organization, the organization in the stadium, and basically the police and Rangers have got what they wanted with the organization that day.
K
54:10Kevin GrahamPANELIST
And I think the independent report nailed them, nailed the, nailed the, nailed the police and Rangers to the mast, going, "What happened on that day was your fault." Basically, they created that to come, to come to this point.
Why isn't the national team of India better at football?
G
3:59Graham RuthvenGUEST
And in the origin phase of the codified sport as we know it today, India was actually one of the forefathers of the game.
G
4:07Graham RuthvenGUEST
So some of the oldest clubs in the world are in India, the world's third oldest competition after the FA Cup and the Scottish FA Cup.
G
4:16Graham RuthvenGUEST
is in India, a competition called the Durand Cup.
G
4:19Graham RuthvenGUEST
And for a period, India's national team was known as the Brazilians of Asia because of the flair that they played with.

You're just shooting yourself in the foot.
A
19:42AndrewHOST
no i totally agree and and you're writing what you're saying um especially under kind of clement's regime and um you know danny rules as well there was always that you'd be playing fairly decently in one of those games and there would just be a lapse in concentration one of the worst ones was in i think it was a scottish cup game under clement where we're all waiting for the referee's whistle to go and it doesn't and everybody including Raskin have just kind of like walked away while basically while the Celtic players are still running they get the ball and then score and it's little things like that where just you'd think by now that the players would be ready alert you know quicker So I'm hoping there's a lot of that out of the system now.
A
20:29AndrewHOST
I think Derek McInnes, Billy, has faced Celtic a lot in his career as a manager.
A
20:35AndrewHOST
He's got maybe not some great results with Aberdeen.

J

So we could definitely get something there.
J
28:33Jack CramnerPANELIST
But yeah, in terms of a turning point, you've seen, like you mentioned, 2004, two wins in 10 days over Celtic and Rangers end that season winning both the competitions.
J
28:41Jack CramnerPANELIST
They defeated them in, whereas they lost to Celtic, I believe, in the Scottish Cup that year.
J
28:46Jack CramnerPANELIST
And if I'm not mistaken, Celtic won the Scottish Cup that year.

I remind them of that again tomorrow.
M
5:50Marvin BartleyPANELIST
Um, yes, like I said, it's a massive, massive game, but we saw in the Scottish Cup last season, you know, I know it's a different cup competition with Dunfermline knocking out Premier League teams.
M
5:57Marvin BartleyPANELIST
There's no reason we can't do that and, you know, the bare minimum for us is to be at our best and then-

J

And everyone that I've heard talking about it are saying that they're bored stiff with this whole ticket allocation thing.
J
49:30John Paul MasonPANELIST
But the fact that we are playing a cup game in, uh, in Ibrox with none of our fans there just seems absolutely absurd because, you know, when we go- when we drew them in the cup, I think most people were thinking, "Well, we've got to get the full Broomland again because that's, it's a cup game." And, and then you find out, oh no, but it's different with the League Cup to the Scottish Cup and well, why is it different? Why should it be any different? It's a cup competition, a domestic cup competition.
J
49:59John Paul MasonPANELIST
Why should the rules be any different? They've, they've won a watch getting a home tie, but the, the-
Q

Sure
J

The risk assessment was the same risk assessment as the week before, and that failure on that will allow, I think, Celtic to go at them tooled up with a lawyer.
J
51:11John Paul MasonPANELIST
And I think we've been reasonably quiet on it, probably because we're doing that in the background.
J
51:16John Paul MasonPANELIST
The Scottish Cup game's only going to be till January, so there's plenty of time to sort of gather evidence and everything else.
J
51:22John Paul MasonPANELIST
But I would be amazed if Celtic didn't get that reduced to a partial stadium closure and/or reducing that £100,000 fine to £50,000 or whatever with a lawyer in place, because there's no way it's yellow card, yellow card.

The target this season must have been to make the group stages in Europe.
I
32:03Ian MackayGUEST
Obviously, we managed to get into Europe this year by getting fifth place and Celtic winning the Cup.
I
32:09Ian MackayGUEST
But as I've said numerous times, I said last season, David Gray should be on a performance improvement plan because we just weren't good enough.
I
32:18Ian MackayGUEST
David Gray was not developing any of the players as far as I was concerned.
M

Stephen, we've got another Stephen who said, Ross County lost 4-3 during the week against Aberdeen B.

If Hibs don't win on Saturday, normally should Graby Sacks put a hole starting at 11 as well.
I
34:31Ian MackayGUEST
Can I just say, on Ross County, can I just say that I'm sure some of us remember going up to play Ross County on a Tuesday night in the pissing rain in the League Cup, and I think we drew 1-1 and then lost the penalty shootout.
I
34:46Ian MackayGUEST
It was one of the most miserable games I've ever been to.
