Highland League Weekly: Can 8-goal Brora Rangers be stopped? Gary Manson's explosive Wick goodbye; Buckie downturn

It's

looking ominous for their

teams, an eight goal rout of Rothes at the weekend.

It's ominous.

Yeah, I mean, I've run out of superlatives for Broda.

They're the only unbeaten team in the division at this point.

They've just scored another hat full of goals, as you mentioned, at Mackesset Park.

They're now six points clear of second place with a game in hand.

They've got a goal difference of 32.

For context, there's only three other teams in the league who are into double figures in terms of their goal difference.

And that's Strathspey, Bucky and Clough.

It's going to take something drastic to happen at this point.

We want to see a neck-and-neck title race go into the wire like we've been so fortunate to have since we started Highland League Weekly, but the early signs are it's not looking like it's going to materialise this year.

They did have their first bump in the road, so to speak, in that James Clarke has suffered what appears to be a collarbone injury.

He could be out for a couple of months, we're waiting to hear on that.

Other than that, it's been plain, smooth sailing and just stretching clear of everyone.

When you look, I know Conor Bunce came in for a particular praise for assists as well as scoring, but he got, what, two goals at the weekend? Ben Barron, reasonably recent addition, two goals.

James Anderson obviously came in last season, but two goals for him.

You're talking about a game which the score date and Shane Sullivan isn't on the score sheet.

They've just got so much firepower.

Yeah, and it was seven, I think, in the previous game against Invergordon.

It's just relentless from Barora.

And it doesn't matter if you're going to leak a goal here and there when you've got so much firepower on your side.

And that's what's clearly separating them from the chasing pack.

They've had two draws out of their games, they've won the other nine.
