Craig TelferHOST

Um, I, I listened back to last week's episode.
Craig TelferHOST
4:45
I was talking about Jack McKeever when he, he joined, um, the, the club from Buckie Thistle, and I referred to, um, Stefan Laird as Alan Hale.
Craig TelferHOST
4:55
So Stefan, once again, I'm sorry.
Craig TelferHOST
4:57
Should probably send you a text message again to apologize.

Which famous horror writer donated to Buckie Thistle's fundraising campaign?

Let me translate for him.
Gordon DuncanHOST

The question was which horror writer has donated to Buckie Thistle's fundraising campaign.
Gordon DuncanHOST
48:48
You were trying to tell him- That it was the Harry Potter author, right?
Grant CampbellHOST
59:01
But well done to Stonehaven, that was a fabulous win for them yesterday.
Grant CampbellHOST
59:04
Now, one team that I've been really impressed with certainly in the last couple of weeks, Mark, has been Buckie Thistle.
Grant CampbellHOST
59:09
Uh, they won 4-1 at home to Rothes Rovers yesterday.
Grant CampbellHOST
59:12
Cameron Brown got a brace, Ryan Shandon, Ethan Dunlop with the goals.

Th-this should be a very interesting game because Polmonty haven't had a lot of home games this season, but when they have been in their own patch, Mark, they have been a very, very good side.
Grant CampbellHOST
82:29
And Rothie, perhaps on their travels, a little bit inconsistent.
Grant CampbellHOST
82:33
They have got the odd result up here and there, but perhaps we'll look at this as a bit of an opportunity to get back on track after losing to Buckie Thistle last week.
Mark RobbGUEST
82:40
Yeah, I think Rothie will be loo- looking to, to go and obviously pick up points, get back on it, back on the wins.
Grant CampbellHOST
15:19
I mean, just carrying on from that dinner in, in, uh, kind of last season, um, I, I think I spoke to Duncan Nicholson, who was at the dinner.
Grant CampbellHOST
15:26
Um, obviously last season, Buckie Thistle and Hearts were playing Largs Thistle in the Scottish Communities Cup semifinal.
Grant CampbellHOST
15:31
I know there was a young officiating team that included Scott Donohoe, um, Tommy Stark Proctor I think was on the line that day.
Grant CampbellHOST
15:38
James Cool was fourth official that day.
Alex LauristonGUEST
33:01
Yeah.
Grant CampbellHOST
33:01
But it was, but they did beat Buckie Thistle the week before 4-0, so it is back-to-back clean sheets for Coutts.
Alex LauristonGUEST
33:06
Yeah.
Grant CampbellHOST
33:06
But yeah, they have been-

But looking at the table as things stand, they're four points ahead of Dyce.
Grant CampbellHOST
33:50
Dyce have played a game more.
Grant CampbellHOST
33:52
Buckie Thistle and Hearts are the...
Grant CampbellHOST
33:53
We'll talk about Buckie Thistle and Hearts shortly, but they're 13 points ahead of Buckie Thistle and Hearts already, a third of the ga- a third of the way through the season already.

I think also a similar category for us losing 1-0 to University of Stirling.

at Mosset Park like Forrest you know going into that tie in really good form with three straight wins and University of Stirling haven't started their season particularly well but Steve McDonald said afterwards the Cancans just never hit the levels of recent games and never really got going or sort of showed what they're capable of and I mean that would be frustrating in any game but particularly when it's in the Scottish Cup you know you only get one crack at that every you know if that happens in a league game you go well can we do it right next week in the Scottish Cup when you've only got one crack at it it's disappointing and in a similar vein really Nairn County getting beat 1-0 at home to Gretna 2008 it was another tie on paper you felt that was you know a big winnable tie for Nairn and just I mean they had enough chances on the day but they just didn't take them and Gretna took theirs and you end up getting knocked out so those were sort of four that were I think you would file in the really frustrating or missed opportunity category Devon Vale probably another one that could go in there they got beat 3-2 by Troon at Princess Royal Park and I think as has been said maybe this season or in previous seasons that defensively veiled just shot themselves in the foot a wee bit left themselves a bit too much to do because they did rally quite well in the second half with a couple of goals but they were you know 2-0 down and then back to 2-1 disputed penalty that they gave away 3-1 then 3-2 and they couldn't equalize so that that was another one where like you felt Vale especially being at home had a right chance in that tie and they haven't been able to get through unfortunately I mean you go through some of the other ones like Bocce the push briefing all the way they'll be I mean disappointed and maybe feeling a wee bit hard done by 2-2 they had sounded like the Jags had the better chances to win it as well and it's Mackay hitting the crossbar and then beating 4-2 on penalties but where they probably do take encouragement is given maybe the sort of

field stuff and you know discussions about you know wage reductions and negotiating with players and it's losing darryl mccarty of course yeah well we lost darryl mccarty to elgin during the week but then to be fair it's a deal it's kind of worked out you know in terms of the bigger picture it's quite a favorable deal for bucky in terms of darryl's Going back to Elgin and then Bucky are getting Sam Rothney and Liam McDonald on loan and returning.
