I sat down with Connor Murray, a 23-year-old running for state rep in the 18th Essex District, which covers my old hometown of Tewksbury. I ask him why he opposes Question 8's repeal of adult-use…
Being the policy wonk that I am and having worked on campaigns before, I've been following all the ballot questions pretty closely.
But it was always nice to have somebody reach out directly to say, like, here's my stance on it.
I think I think that sort of thing is great and it helps educate me on the topic as well.
But no, I think I think voting no on question eight is a really easy decision for me.
And since then, I believe we currently have over 20,000 people working in the industry, directly in the industry in Massachusetts.
And if we get rid of if we vote yes, Massachusetts votes yes on question eight gets rid of this industry we've created.
We're not just killing, you know, the the opportunities to use recreational marijuana.
It's hard to pinpoint because I've heard people say, if you just count the registered agents, it's like 15,000, 16,000.
