uh today's episode is purely going to be a bit of an intro as to what we're doing here why we are here we are called here um we're called here because um We thought it was a nice little play on words of like be there.
When we're talking about be there, we're actually here.
We're actually showing up.
We're here for, you know, our friends, whoever needs us.
Like we're here for each other, all those things.
But it also is a bit of a play because we're like listen here,
here, as in
here, audible here.
And there's also a little bit of a nod to – the women in the room, the women in our lives with her being in here as well, which we love.
But from your perspectives, why are we here? What are we about?
Why did we do a podcast, Cursed? Well, because we're always talking, for starters, and...
I think for me, I listen to a lot of podcasts.
Some of my favourite podcasts are exactly how we wanted to set this one up, where we're just talking about real life, you know, because sometimes you can feel really alone or you can feel like you're the only person going through something or the only person feeling something.
Two days ago, my friend reached out to me and said, are you on HRT yet for menopause? What are you on? I think, gosh, I just want to just be real and raw and have a space that's, yes, it's the three of us sitting here, but it's It's a community that we want to create.
I want a whole community of women connecting in with this and feeling like it's a conversation we were all just having if we were sitting at lunch.
So essentially, it's like a lunch conversation in a podcast room, I think, that we'd be having anyway.
And I think I wanted to do it because I'm so lucky to be in this space with the people in my world who really gently hold space for me to unpack ideas and the things that are going on in the world when I'm, you know, scrolling through Insta or whatever it is and there's something with Gaza or there's something with domestic violence or there's something with, whatever it might be.
And I have people in my world who you'll meet throughout the podcast and these two women right here who allow me the space to actually go, oh, what's that all about? And we can have really difficult conversations in a really respectful, safe environment and I don't think that many people get that in their lifetime.
So to be able to really disagree with each other in a healthy way and just unpack it, like there's so many times, Sian, you'll say, just tell me more about that.
You'll go, yep, yep, tell me more about that thought process and then we will unpack it and you'll say, what about this, what about that, and we get to have that dialogue and And think about things more critically through each other's lenses.
Yeah.
There's no judgment and there's no like that.
Yeah.
Because no one's right.
It's just the lens that you look at life through.
