Let me walk you through this in plain English and skip it if you've heard me say it before, but trust me, you're probably haven't heard of it framed this way.

But again, if you're in my elite vitality circle, you've probably heard me talk about this multiple months in a row because it's such a big topic.

I just did a class today in my elite vitality circle and talking about perimenopause.

And when these levels shift, why women, we feel so erratic in perimenopause because as our progesterone is starting to take what calms us down and then our estrogen goes all wonky, this is when we start seeing this stuff.

So in a healthy menstrual cycle, both estrogen and progesterone rise and fall in a very predictable rhythm.

estrogen takes the first half of the cycle progesterone takes the second half of the cycle both clear out woman bleeds they reset we go through the whole cycle again it is a beautiful symphony of how it should all be working together here's what happens starting in our about our mid-30s but like i've said before on the podcast i've seen it in some women in their mid to late 20s now and this is the part that almost nobody explains progesterone starts dropping, not because anything's wrong.

It's just normal aging, right? Typically mid thirties, it starts normal aging.

If it's dropping earlier than that, we got to look at some other things, but it drops faster than estrogen.

So even if your estrogen is staying flat or even just dropping slightly, your ratio of estrogen to progesterone gets bigger and bigger.
