Maybe those beautiful moments are completely genuine. And that’s exactly what can make emotional and psychological abuse so difficult to recognize. Because relief when someone starts treating you well again can feel incredibly powerful. **But relief from distress is not the same thing as emotional safety.** And for Christian women, we’re going there too. What does Scripture actually say about love, fear, harshness, truth, accountability, and guarding your heart? And when did having a good heart start meaning we were supposed to hand it repeatedly to people who mishandle it? This episode isn't anti-man. It's anti-abuse. It's anti-manipulation. It's anti-losing-yourself-to-keep-someone. And it's about learning to recognize the good men and women whose character remains safe even when they're angry, disappointed, rejected, or told **no**. Because maybe we've been asking the wrong question. Instead of: **“Is he nice?”** Ask: **“Is he still safe when he isn't nice?”** Instead of: **“Does he choose me?”** Ask: **“After everything I've observed, should I choose him?”** ❤️ **Heal.
