The word patriarchy has become so emotionally charged that many people stop listening before anyone even defines it.

Patriarchy is a social system where men have historically held most positions of authority and power in areas of government, religion, business, and the family.

It doesn't mean every woman is powerless, and it certainly doesn't mean masculinity is toxic.

Those are completely different conversations, and we'll have those at a later date on my podcast.

Today, we're talking about the system and those who contribute to it and why it can continue long after the people who created it are gone.
