15 episodes! Surely a landmark. In this episode I talk about this great weekend of combat sports - mainly All Japan's show with Kento Miyahara vs. Yuma Anzai, AEW's All In 2026 show at Wembley and…
But first up in the weekend, we had the All Japan Pro Wrestling show headlined by Kento Miyahara and Yuma Anzai.
Now, I have not watched a lot of All Japan for the past couple of years.
I watched it regularly, um, in the earlier part of this decade when Suwama was champion for a while.
I watched all of his title defenses.
I became a massive Suwama fan.
I'm also a massive Go Shiozaki fan.
At that same part of the decade when, um, Go was champion in Noah, I watched every one of his defenses.
Just one of my favorite, um, favorite times to be a wrestling fan in many ways.
It was a different time.
But, um, yeah, I, I thought both of them had two of the great reigns that I had ever seen.
Suwama and Go Shiozaki, I enjoyed their matches so much.
And yeah, during a time when there wasn't a lot to, um...
It was a pretty bleak time.
Their work was some of the most uplifting, exciting, inspirational stuff out there.
And so I, um, so I'm very excited that Go is in All Japan.
I watched his first match there with, um, Kento Miyahara, but I haven't really had the time or money to watch much else.
So this weekend's show is the first one I had seen in, in quite some time.
Was very excited to, uh, to do so.
And so, yeah, I've, I've been very excited to watch this All Japan show this, this last weekend.
And you know, it was, it was very interesting because I, I didn't really know that Yuma Anzai had been on The Bachelorette, I believe, in Japan.
Um, I think that was the re- It was one of those types of reality shows that he was on, and I guess he's gotten quite popular from it.
So it's like, you know, good for him.
You know, I know...
You know, All- Isn't All Japan just such an interesting company? You know, it's something I think about every time when I watch their shows that like here, you know, here's a company that goes back to, you know, the early 1970s, you know, born out of the, um, what was it? Uh, the JWP, um, that Rikidozan started and then, you know, Antonio Inoki went and formed New Japan.
Giant Baba went and formed All Japan.
