What Applies To Grandchildren?
[Hebrew] So regarding an einikel, we discussed hibbek v'nishuk on a daughter and a sister.
He says that a baal nefesh should be machmir by a son's daughter, and not-- A daughter's daughter is mutar, but he says a baal nefesh, which means someone who's machmir, should be machmir not to do hibbek v'nishuk on a son's daughter.
Why? He says because of his daughter-in-law, it might be he hear her about the daughter-in-law, and therefore if it's your daughter's daughter, it's fine.
So son's dau-son's daughter, there's a makom l'lachma.
That's what Moshe says.
The Chashu'ch Han is meikel, and therefore there's definitely a makom l'hachol.
But there's just an interesting story that they bring, that, uh, Moshe's einekelach once came to visit him, and he was kissing all the einekelach.
And someone asked him that, uh, you know, you wrote that, uh, baal nefesh should be machmir by bas benoi.
So he said, "Yeah, it's true." But lama'asa, when there's grand-- When there's different kinds-- different-- all different grandchildren here, some of them should get a kiss from the zeide and some shouldn't.
It's gonna feel bad.
So therefore, in such an instance, Rav Moshe wasn't machmir on it.
And I saw Rav Shmuel father, he asks, so then Rav Moshe didn't have to kiss any of the einekelach.
Why do you have to put himself in a matzav that he holds is not l'chatchila? Lama'asa, Vaystais is very important for a zeide to kiss the einekelach, and therefore he felt that he should kiss the einekelach.
But at the same time, even though he's machmir that a einekel from a son, a l'chatchila person sh-- a fa-- a grandfather shouldn't kiss a son's daughter l'chatchila.
But when it comes to that there's other einekelach around, and there's a chashash that they might feel bad, then he felt you shouldn't be machmir in such an instance.
But al kapot ma pi halacha, a granddaughter is mutar hibbek v'nishuk just like a daughter.
Mi ikar din, whether it's a son's daughter or a daughter's daughter, a baal nefesh should be machmir.
