The Long and the Short of it: Health check

Hello and welcome to The Long and the Short of It with me, Heidi Soulsby.

And me, Michelle LeClaire.

As a poet, Emily Dickinson said, there comes a warning like a spy and summer's away.

And yes, the summer is soon away.

The children will be back to school.

And when the day's getting cooler, the states will begin to wake up again and the political temperature will rise.

But we thought before all that, we should get in what we're calling a late summer special.

And it is a bit special as Michelle and I have been doing a bit of detective work out in the field, or car parts to be more accurate.

Without giving the game away now, Michelle, we did learn quite a bit, didn't we? We certainly did.

And we were quite shocked, actually, at what we saw.

We were.

And we'll explain more about her attempts to be Guernsey's answer to Cagney and Lacey shortly.

But we'll start on what led us to doing some sleuthing in the first place.
