They're a great time to take bold steps, face things directly, and move with intention.

What conversations need to happen? What task have I been avoiding that actually deserves my attention? What energy wants to move through me now? We're in the first weeks of autumn when the green leaves are beginning to change color.

As the leaves fall, the strong bant- branches that carry them through spring and summer, now we can see them.

And I like how this can remind us that our life and business also has a lot of deep structure.

Beneath everything you create and share, there are relationships, values, skills, your point of view, your spiritual beliefs, all of and everything that holds your life and business together.

As the nights grow longer, you may feel more aware of your ancestors, your memories, or the people whose work helped make your business possible.

You can work with that connection in your art journal by thanking the ancestors who taught you something that you now carry into your own work.

This can be also a good season to consider the body of work that you're building.

It's also made from the knowledge you've gathered, the people who have helped, and ideas that you keep returning to.

You can align with the spirit of autumn by choosing one important piece of your wisdom to preserve, or to develop, or to pass on.

You might turn it into a podcast episode, an art series, a blog post, a class, an article, a written teaching, or just a practice your community can return to for years.
