Quickie recap of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, season 5 episode 3

The rest of the group, I assume, is down at the hotel restaurant waiting for Taylor.

We've been traveling all day with no idea that she's just up in her room giggling with Ben, saying she doesn't even know if she should go and that she doesn't want to.

And all just really setting the tone for how objectively annoying Taylor is being on this trip.

She, you know, finally does decide to show and she says, oh, I thought it was a girls only dinner.

Like, who would she have brought? I think it's Macy that retorts with like, well, then you wouldn't want to come, Taylor.

Like, what were you doing? Like, were you sending nudes? Were you talking to Dakota? Like, what are you hiding? Jace seems to be the one to clock that like the fact that she's not really answering means it's probably something worse than even what they're guessing.

Michaela is just now noticing that Jen is not with Zach and asked if he didn't come.

She said that they thought it was for the best, like he's not really a fan of Whitney's.

And we see the flashback of him accusing Whitney of like hypothetically not voting for Jen at that super combative lunch he showed up at.

Jen does admit that she wished she hadn't asked Zach to go talk to Whitney and knows that the convo needs to be between them.

We do see this flashback of Zach kind of, in my opinion, working Jen up to be more upset with Whitney.

Zach consistently seems like somebody who wants to isolate Jen, like he doesn't want her to have any friends.

At this point, I haven't watched the conversation that's going to happen between Jen and Whitney, but I can only imagine that it would have gone worse if Zach was around so they're all kind of talking about like how they think it's gonna go Michaela and Macy are like you know Whitney's more sensitive than she seems like she tries to hide how much she cares and yet you know they both think Whitney is pretty reasonable so hopefully the talk will go okay but Michaela's telling us that she's distracted trying to have this conversation because Taylor's over here texting novels and like giggling into her phone you know she's like pressuring Taylor to like show her her last boy text don't delete anything show me and They realize that she's talking to Ben, not Dakota.

And Miranda says that, you know, some people might think it's good that Taylor is giving energy somewhere other than Dakota, but ultimately seems like she's using men to like get back at Dakota or to make him jealous.

And the scene ends with like this strange moment where Taylor all of a sudden is like, wants to order one of everything for dessert, she says.
