Critters Attack! (2019) | Sometimes they shouldn't come back

I saw they directed a bunch of shorts.

The only other movie I could see is something called The Cleanse from 2016 that's described as a body horror dark comedy.

Hmm.

Fuck you, Bobby.

Whoa.

Okay.

That was a little too hot.

But look, we're in the spoiler-free zone right now, but I got to warn anyone listening.

I'm going to be slam dunking on this movie like crazy.

So if you are opposed to listening to more negative reviews of movies, just be forewarned because I know that's something that bugs the shit out of me.

It's part of why we try to stay positive on here.

But I am personally offended by this goddamn movie.

I was pretty excited going into it because, I mean, this is from 2019.

Critters is not a 2019 movie series.

This is a 80s movie series, early 90s movie series.

I think the last one was 91, right? I don't know.

I

don't remember.

Pretty sure Critters 4 was like 91, which means it's been like 30 fucking years.

I'm not opposed to that at all.

I actually think it's kind of exciting when you can revisit stuff like this.

We went through Phantasm last year, and I'm not going to sit here and say Phantasm 5 was a good movie.

But it was, it felt kind of special that it existed.

Like the fact that it was treated with so much care and respect and it brought back all the original actors and it just felt like a way to revisit the Phantasm world and celebrate this big, weird, amazing horror thing.

So it's like, okay, maybe that's what we're getting here from Critters.
